There is a time when a lot of organizations are aiming to generate a consistent stream of revenue.  GSA contracts offer an opportunity for just that.  Unlike the private or public sector that are canceled if the client experiences financial problems, a GSA contract is a federal sector contract that’s existence is secure as the budget of the agency that uses it.  Of course there are minimum requirements to maintain and keep your schedule, however it is meant to help a company grow.  Since the 2008 financial crisis, many companies have struggled to conquer the same level of financial safety that they enjoyed in the mid 2000s.  GSA contracts allow companies to earn revenue outside of the consumer marketplace and the business marketplace.  Better yet, the initial term of a contract is five years, with the option to renew it for a 20-Year period.  Being a GSA contract holder is giving many companies a greater sense of economic certainty for the future.
